Vintage Mid Summer Style
With the solstice just past, high summer is finally upon us.
Time to shed the layers of this years spring chill and embrace the rejuvenating sunshine as it warms joy into us all. As we enter into what we hope to be an increasingly dreamy summer season, we have transformed the shop into a haven of delicate lawns, bright cottons and lace, broderie anglaise & chiffon to ring in the change in mood.
We couldn’t resist bringing out our daintiest of early white cottons, linens, laces and lawns, some dating back to the Edwardian Era. Nothing more perfect for paired down garden ceremonies as an alternative take on the romantic wedding dress, or for a day simply laid amongst the daisies...
Speaking of which - we will be showcasing Mary’s incredible archive piece this month, a buttercup yellow organza gown, appliquéd with three dimensional daisies from top to toe. While not available to purchase, a dress of this calibre from Mary’s personal collection is not to be missed!
With an additional sprinkling of vintage lingerie and slip dresses, light blouses, swimsuits, rockabilly skirts and 1940s tea dresses, an outfit for any occasion this summer can be found here at Dress.
