Psychedelic Season

Take a trip with us as Dress celebrates the flower power fashion of the 60s and her psychedelic sister, the 70s!

This October, forget your troubles and lose yourself in a kaleidoscope of technicolour fantasy.

We love the unabashed rainbow colour pallet, organic shapes and melting forms of these iconic decades. Forever fresh and innovative prints that spark conversation, inspiration and boundless joy. From zesty florals to reinvented geometrics, in printed silk jerseys, batik cottons and tie-dye wonders. The era of ‘Peace and Love’ is a delight to revisit.

We’ve retrieved from our capacious wardrobe a much missed textile, tucked away through the summer; making it’s welcome return this month… Velvet!

From Pucci pleasures and 70s maxi dresses, to 30s jet evening gowns and 40s coats, the warm and tactile texture is just what we need to cheer our days as the nights draw in. The luxurious comfort of a cosy velvet encourages us to brave the seasons change and fill our evenings with fun and festivity.

With an array of colours garnered from all shades of life. Grounding earth tones of coco, copper and ginger, alongside sharp neons and vibrant jewel tones. To round off the spectrum we introduce deep blacks and crisp whites in textured varieties of net, brocade, ribbon lace and grosgrain. Accented with metallic threads, tassels, decorative buttons and twinkling celestial sequins.

As an extra special treat, we have some of Mary’s private archive on display for your enjoyment. With select treasures from her much adored felt collection, fantastic suede embroidered cowboy boots and ankle braking platforms.

The wow factor is high in the shop this month!

Featured alongside immaculately handmade pieces, coveted designer’s Emilio Pucci, Leonard, Bessi and Jean Muir are joined by the recherché likes of Oleg Cassini and Princess Irene Galitzine.
