Finally, Spring is here!

“It’s been a long hard lonely winter” to quote The Beatles Songbook, but taking our inspiration from cherry blossom, bursting buds and a cacophony of birds, the team here at Dress look forward to welcoming back all our old friends and clients, ready to inspire you with new ways of wearing Vintage.

After a challenging and tumultuous year with a winter that for many felt longer and lonelier than ever, the prospect of our worlds opening up in full colour couldn’t be better timed! We have all come out of this experience ready to embrace the familiar but also prepared for new ways of doing things and hope we can provide some of that inspiration.

With the dates firmly set in early April for retail to re-awaken, we couldn’t be more delighted to open our doors on Tuesday, April 13th, celebrating with an exhilarating and lively hang of treasures. Preparations have begun in selecting Mary’s top picks of Spring 2021 and we couldn’t be more excited.

In the spirit of welcoming everyone back, we are starting off this year with our signature colour pallet; cherry blossom pink and sky blue. Touches of the floral pallet in buttercup yellows and daisy whites will coax in the sunny weather and add a whole new approach to your summer wardrobe. Expect to see some fun, flirty 1950 and 1960s dresses, a joyful mix of Vintage skirts and blouses, as well as a few spring coats and cashmeres in fresh pastel shades to keep us prepared for any occasion until British Summer Time is in full swing!

We’ll also tantalise a few of Mary’s most beloved pieces from her personal archive of wonders, like this 1940s chiffon tea dress in our favourite colour combination, displayed in store to view and enjoy. 

Impatient to see the streets of Bridport alive again, after Easter our little shop will be open for you to come and indulge your senses in inimitable couture fashion!
